This year for the Senior Drama Club, we performed the newly-introduced Senior Showcase, which allowed pupils from the Senior Drama Club to perform in multiple musical numbers. We had a variety of different musical numbers, dances and scenes, ranging from twisted songs from 'Heathers' to uplifting surfing music from 'Teen Beach Movie'! This showcase was led by nine keen pupils from Years 9 and 10 who had willingly given up their time to perform in this spectacular performance.
The show opened with Jamara, Charlie, Eva, Sadie, Daisy and Libi performing ‘Ex wives’ from 'Six' as a show opener. Over the course of the evening, our audience was treated to 13 different numbers, including Libi’s chilling solo of ‘I dreamed a dream’ from Les Miserables, Florence’s heart-throbbing solo of ‘There are worse things I could do’ from Grease, Daisy and Eva’s thrilling duet of ‘Defying gravity’ and a spectacular finale of ‘Surf Crazy’ from 'Teen Beach Movie'.
Although we experienced some minor technical difficulties, we all pushed through and supported each other throughout the evening. Thank you to all the friends and family who were able to support this lovely event!
