We are the Year 11 '3Cs Team Leaders'. Evie (Team Leader) and Deputies Hollie and Kathryn. Where the Head Girl Team used their website space to showcase how great our school is, we want to explain how the 3Cs can be applied to everyday life. And to your life! The 3Cs are something we can all access and they're more than just three words. At TWGGS, Community, Challenge and Character are inclusive values that shape the way we learn, support each other and our school as a whole. As the 3Cs team, we are very excited to help make these values a bigger part of school life and encourage pupils to think about how everybody can put them into practice in their own way. Community
Community means knowing that you are part of something bigger than just yourself. At TWGGS, this can be seen by helping someone in your form, welcoming new students, participating in inter-form events and even in school traditions, or just by making sure that everyone’s voice is heard. Community isn’t just about big events. It can be built through lots of small actions we do every day. Saying something kind or making sure everyone is included is enough to contribute to a stronger school community. We want pupils to realise that everyone can help create a school community that they enjoy and want to be a part of. Challenge
Challenge isn't about being the best at everything, but just trying, learning, growing and never giving up! At TWGGS, this can be different for everyone. For one pupil, it might mean taking on a leadership or form role, whilst for another it might simply be asking a question in class or trying out a new club. What matters most is being willing to try something outside of your comfort zone and learn from it, especially when it doesn't go exactly as you planned it. Trying new things can help us discover interests, develop new skills and become more confident. Even if it's scary or uncomfortable, challenge is key for growth. It isn't about being the best, it's just about (our school motto) giving your best. Character
Character is about who you are. It's reflected in the qualities we show and the choices we make. Actively showing kindness, resilience, integrity and confidence in what you do is part of what makes every TWGGS pupil special. Being willing to stand up for others, learning from mistakes, taking responsibility and most importantly, being yourself, all contribute to the character we develop throughout our time at school. Character doesn't develop from one moment. It grows over time through the experiences we have, the challenges we face and how we choose to respond to them. These qualities can shape not only our time at TWGGS, but the people we become. The 3Cs all connect beautifully with each other. The people around us form our community, the challenges we face help us grow, and the way we respond to these experiences is what helps shape our character. We are excited about our year ahead as the 3Cs Team Leaders. We can't wait to work alongside pupils and staff throughout the year and to see the 3Cs continue to grow as an important part of everyday life at TWGGS.
