School trips represent an integral part of the learning experience at TWGGS.

Linguists in all Key Stages travel to Germany, France and Spain to develop their understanding of their language from first-hand experience, whilst TWGGS enjoys long-standing relationships as part of our exchange programme with schools in Ghana and India. Pupils can also take part in expeditions, theatre and gallery visits and competitions throughout the year, in a variety of areas including music, sport, science and debating.

Examples of trips that we offer, in addition to our foreign exchanges, include:

  • Year 7 team-building at Carroty Wood
  • Year 7 trip to Harry Potter Studios
  • Year 8 visit to the Europa Centre
  • Year 8 Ski trip to Austria
  • Year 9 residential activity trip to Devon
  • Year 9 Trip to the World War I Battlefields
