The TWGGS Ski Team competed in the English Schools' Ski Association ESSKIA race at Chatham on Sunday 18th September. Two timed runs were completed on a challenging course set by the current All England Female Champion. The team have been training at Bowles and put all their hard work into practise on the day with some good results. Lorraine D-S, Tabitha C and Emily H, Bess M, Genevieve S, Alannah D, Ella S, Maisie L, Amelie L, Abi D and Lila A represented the school. Lila in Year 11 was the fastest female skier of the day.
Lila has had a very successful dry slope summer ski race season competing throughout the UK. She has podiumed at many of the national races and gained third U16 at the All England Championships and fourth U16 at the Welsh Nationals. Currently Lila is ranked fourth fastest U16 female racer in England.
