KS3 Art Inspired by Tate Britain in Lockdown

15th Jul 2020

Our Key Stage 3 Art pupils have been able to access Tate Britain in lockdown thanks to one of the programmes in the BBC ‘Museums in Quarantine' series. Pupils were pleasantly surprised by their visual tour and commentary which gave them insight into the meaning behind the artwork and encouraged them to consider ways to compare it to their current experience of lockdown. Pupils chose an artwork that inspired them the most and created a personal, visual response during Home Learning and Art Activity Day. Their annotations evidence their deep thinking and creative problem-solving. We are so very impressed.

With so many successful and well-informed responses submitted by Years 7, 8 and 9, we are delighted to share the work with you. Please click on the link below and enjoy this second online exhibition from TWGGS pupils.
