On Thursday, 5th March, TWGGS welcomed pupils across all year groups, and their parents, for the highly-anticipated annual Careers Fair. The evening ran after school, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, where pupils were able to book two sessions of their choice - enabling them to hear from an incredible array of speakers covering paths from Law and Medicine to Visual Effects and AI. These presentations offered a deep dive into the industry, with speakers detailing their career journeys and how they are navigating modern shifts like the rise of AI, as well as opening up the floor for group questions, with speakers very often offering their time for individual questions. It was particularly inspiring to welcome back ex-pupils who are now embarking on degree apprenticeships, providing pupils with relatable role models.

Between sessions, the canteen was spectacularly transformed into a vibrant hub of stalls to further encourage exploration. While enjoying light refreshments, pupils explored a variety of opportunities from exhibitors such as Burtons Solicitors, Gap360 (Gap Year Travel Experts), and Specsavers Apprenticeships. Popular stops included InvestIn Education, who shared work experience insights, and Springpod, who even brought their own popcorn machine! Overall, the evening was a massive success, with the atmosphere buzzing from start to finish. A huge thank you goes to Miss Smith and Mrs King for organising the event, as well as to the many speakers and pupil helpers who made the evening such a social and informative occasion.

We hope that pupils are now equipped with the utmost knowledge to be able to enter into a world where there is now so much variety in what they can do - and that they continue to gain even more knowledge!
