Our international charity focus for this term is WaterAid. As so many of our TWGGS families experienced the disruption and inconvenience of water insecurity this winter, we felt it was the ideal time to support the incredible work WaterAid does in helping communities around the world  to build reliable, clean and safe water supplies as a basic human right. 

Charity Reps for Year 10 and Lower Sixth form groups are already planning their fundraising events for this term, hoping to raise as much money as possible to support WaterAid. As our Senior Charities Prefects explained in assemblies for the whole school, WaterAid UK has a special focus this year on the importance of water security for women and girls: “Everyone benefits from clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene – but women and girls stand to gain the most.” If you would like to find out more about the work we are helping to support through our fundraising efforts, please click on the the link: WaterAid - Women and Girls
