At TWGGS, reward and recognition are important to us. We are continually reviewing how we celebrate our pupils, and this year we have continued to refine our merit system to ensure it recognises the whole pupil more frequently and consistently. Not just academic outcomes, but also challenge, character and contribution to the community. Thanks to the generous support of the PTA, we have been able to fund a wide range of rewards for this year, including Amazon vouchers, book tokens (always popular with TWGGS pupils), Queue Jumper canteen passes, certificates, stickers, TWGGS branded pencil cases, PE bags and water bottles. We’ve also had some fun with our Golden Ticket scratch cards (see photo) and a variety of treats for our termly reward afternoons. Just before Christmas, PTA reward funding enabled us to run a Christmas crafts reward session, which was a huge success (see photos). The creativity, enthusiasm, and enjoyment on display made it a genuinely special experience for pupils. We are extremely grateful to the PTA for their continued support of our rewards programme, and to our staff and students for consistently recognising and celebrating each other. This collective commitment is what truly defines our school culture. In the same spirit of recognition, many pupils also took the time last term to send thank you cards to staff. These messages were sincere, thoughtful, and deeply appreciated by those who received them. A small gesture that had a big impact and perfectly reflects the values we strive to nurture at TWGGS.
