Ghana Education Project request for equipment

18th Apr 2022

TWGGS has had a long association with Ghana Education Project a charity that has built, and now supports Kyabobo Girls’ School, a secondary school for girls in a remote and deprived area of Ghana.

The charity really does make a difference to the lives of its pupils, their families and the wider community in Nkwanta. TWGGS is extremely proud of the major contribution it has made to this small but very effective charity for over 20 years.

The trustees of the charity normally travel to Nkwanta once a year taking items needed at the school.  Over the last two years the charity has been organising shipments of items.  The charity’s founder, a past TWGGS teacher who now lives in Nkwanta has sent a list of equipment needed to support pupils at the school.  Pupils studying Food Tech have to supply multiple items for their practical exams, the charity helps those pupils from the most disadvantaged backgrounds by loaning them the necessary equipment.

If you are having a spring clear out and have any of the items from the attached list that are in good condition, and you no longer need, the charity would be very glad to receive them.  There are also other things on the list that are also needed in the school.  Please send any donations into the school reception by the Monday 25th April so that they can be packed for shipment in early May

Your support would be very much appreciated, if you are interested in finding out more about the charity’s work, please look at their website:  https://ghanaeducationproject.org.uk/ or read their latest newsletter
