Three TWGGS pupils have been selected for the local England Hockey Talent Academy. Following rigorous selection trials, Sixth Former Bea Rowbottom (Goalkeeper) and two Year 11 pupils, Freja Holder (Goalkeeper) and Harriet George (Outfield) have taken up places in the squad. This year is the first of England Hockey’s new talent strategy, in which Talent Academies replace Performance Centres.
Bea and Harriet also play for Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club, who provide training at TWGGS to Key Stage 3 pupils on Wednesdays after school.
