Elsie S, 10B, took part in the Swim England National Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, at the end of July. After qualifying for the final in first place with an almost two second personal best, she went on to take home the bronze medal in the 13/14yr old 100m backstroke event in a time of 1.07.51 - an amazing achievement for her first time competing at a national level.
