On Monday, 23rd March, seven TWGGS pupils attended the regional round of the Economics Olympiad at SOAS, University of London. We completed two rounds of assessments, including multiple-choice, maths-based questions, diagram drawing, ordering a,b,c,d and e according to the conditions of the question and some short answer questions. Afterwards, we attended a university-style lecture on the economics of climate change. The experience gave us a deeper understanding of applying economic theory to real-world issues. Following this, the winners of the round, who were selected to progress to the next stage, were announced. They included Abby S (U6Y) and Jayda H (U6G) from TWGGS.
