From the 13th to the 20th of March our German exchange partners from the Clara-Fey-Gymnasium in Bad Godesberg visited us in Tunbridge Wells. At the weekend, we took them to different places in England, such as Hastings, Brighton and London and some people took them along to their sports clubs! They then saw some interesting sights in the week, such as Hever Castle, Chartwell, Westminster Abbey and many of them sampled the food in our school canteen. They were fascinated by our school uniform and intrigued by the idea of assemblies and CCF as they have none of these things in their school in Germany. On Thursday we went on a joint trip to London with them to visit the British museum. We saw some ancient Egyptian artefacts and the Rosetta Stone. Afterwards, we did some shopping in Covent Garden before coming home on the train. We had lots of fun and hope that the German students enjoyed it too! Some of us are already planning on seeing our partners again in the summer.
