The team started the day with outstanding play, winning all their games finishing top in their morning pool. In the afternoon pool, the team faced harder opponents but continued to show fantastic grit and determination. They played five games - won four and drew one. We finished top of our afternoon pool, decided by goal difference, sending us through to the quarter finals.
- Quarter-finals vs. Sevenoaks School - the team won! - Semi-finals vs. Walthamstow Hall - unfortunately we lost the semi-final. - 3rd/4th play off vs. Bennett Memorial Diocesan School - unfortunately we lost the 3rd/4th play off.
Though the loss was disappointing, finishing fourth overall in such a competitive field is a testament to the team's hard work and consistency throughout the day.
U12 County Netball Tournament: Friday, 20th March
A fantastic first experience for our U12 squad demonstrating brilliant team work. The team consisted of Georgia M (7T), Bella W (7Y), Ivy D (7Y), Phoebe S (7S), Lux B (7T), Emilia B (7T), Ellie M (7T), Eloise M (7Y) and Flossie L (7W). A huge thank you also to Ellie B (L6Y) who umpired for us!
The day began with some challenging fixtures that tested the team's resilience. The girls struggled to find their usual flow early on winning one and losing two, finishing third in their morning pool. Despite the rocky start, the team did qualify for the competitive pool in the afternoon. The team showed brilliant determination going into the afternoon, winning three and losing only one, finishing second in our afternoon pool, sending us through to the quarter-finals.
- Quarter-finals vs. Eltham College - unfortunately the team lost this match.
Our pupils should be very proud of the way they played and represented the school in their first ever county tournament. Very well done!
