Over the half term Lily E, 7W, competed for TWGGS in the National Schools Equestrian Association’s arena eventing show. Arena eventing is great fun where pony and rider combinations need to jump a long course of jumps consisting of both show jumps and cross country-type fences, usually over a longer course of up to 22 jumps. Lily and her pony Rita traipsed off to Coombelands Equestrian Centre in West Sussex in the pouring rain where they rode in both the 70cm and 80cm classes. While they didn’t place in these classes they did really well in the foul weather and absolutely loved representing the school. Lily is very much looking forward to doing more in the summer with some of her teammates. Well done Lily!
