GCSE Drama pupils in Year 10 and 11 recently made their way to London to watch the much anticipated Stranger Things: The First Shadow. With the final season of the Netflix series coming out just weeks before, the excitement and atmosphere in the theatre was undeniable - with many hopeful that original Vecna/Henry Creel, Jamie Campbell Bower might make a surprise appearance! 

We were treated to a truly incredible experience, with high voltage tech elements, tense physical theatre moments with actors flying, floating and falling, and many many jump scares. The characters were spot on, with clear links to the characters we have come to know and love throughout the TV series, and the whole cast showed a wide range of skills. The immersive atmosphere continued throughout the show, with cast members coming into the audience to steal Miss Patman’s bag just before the interval, and Henry running into the auditorium in terror. GCSE Drama pupils will now combine their notes, in preparation for Section C of the written exam.
