The TWGGS Ski Team competed in the Kent Schools' Ski Championship on Sunday 11th May, with 15 girls representing the school. Every member of the team won a medal – a fantastic reward for their commitment, and the effort put into Wednesday night training sessions at Bowles.
In the junior category, five TWGGS skiers finished amongst the top ten. In the senior category, six out of the top ten were also from TWGGS – an impressive achievement.
The team showed great resilience, racing in full ski gear under the hot sun while spectators enjoyed the weather in shorts and t-shirts. For some, it was their first time on Chatham’s steep and challenging slope, while others were seasoned competitors. All delivered strong performances, did the school proud and showed great team spirit.
