Open days and evenings

There is no better way to appreciate the special community feel of TWGGS than by visiting the school, and the best way to do so is at an open event, where both staff and current pupils have the time and opportunity to speak with you directly.

We very much hope to hold our open events in their normal format, where you are able to just turn up and meet us. However, we would ask that you regularly check this page throughout September and October as any changes will be published here.

Please note, there is no parking on the school site, parking is available in the nearby John Street car park or in the surrounding residential roads.

In the meantime, we hope that any questions you have may be answered by taking a look at our Frequently Asked Questions on Admissions.
In the absence of being able to visit the school in person, a virtual tour of our buildings was produced by our 2019-2020 Head Girl Team, with the pupil experience in mind. We invite you to take this virtual tour of our buildings by clicking on the video below. There are two more videos  preparing Year 6 pupils for life at TWGGS under Year 7 Admissions, which you may also wish to view.

Open Event Talks

At our usual Open Evening, Mrs Wybar gives a speech welcoming prospective pupils and their parents/carers. Year 7 pupils and our Head Girl also speak, giving a flavour of life at TWGGS from both ends of a school career. For our 2020 Virtual Open Events, our talks went online, and they will hopefully give you some further insight into what to expect at TWGGS.
