KS3 Computing

The core of Computing is Computer Science, in which pupils are taught the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work, and how to put this knowledge to use through programming. Computing also ensures that pupils become digitally literate with the correct skills for the future workplace and as active participants in the digital world. The IT network runs on Windows 7 and serves 4 dedicated ICT rooms plus many other terminals throughout the school.

Pupils in Year 7 and 8 have one lesson a week, with Year 9 having one lesson a fortnight. Year 9 have the option to continue with Computer Science at GCSE.
