sportsmark logoTWGGS offers all pupils a broad and balanced curriculum designed to promote positive interest and enjoyment in Physical activity to promote health and fitness for current and future lifestyles.

Key Stage 5 Curriculum

Pupils have the opportunity to take part in the Level 2 Sports Leadership Award which is taught in curriculum time.

Pupils are able to opt into taking A Level PE through the joint 6th form partnership at Skinners' School.

FACILITIES
Indoor facilities include a gymnasium and school hall. Outdoors we have a newly built Astro Turf Pitch, 4 netball courts, 6 tennis courts and fields for football, athletics, and rounders.

EXTRA CURRICULAR

The department has a ‘sport for all’ ethos and all girls are encouraged to attend clubs whatever their level of ability. TWGGS has a strong tradition for competitive sport and competes regularly at district and county level, in recent years TWGGS has had success in regional and national finals in a number of activities. We offer an extensive extra curricular programme at lunchtimes and afterschool. TWGGS also arranges regular interform competitions to fully engage all pupils in competition. In addition, we also organise a gymnastics and dance workshare to showcase pupils work they have achieved in lessons and in extra curricular clubs. (click for clubs)
